Troubleshooting
Please check the e-stop (emergency stop) and make sure it is disengaged. All machines are shipped with the e-stop engaged.
KWM recommends either a 50 ft. 12 gauge or a 100 ft. 10 gauge power cord.
KWM recommends a 6,000 watt inverter.
The generator will need to be a minimum wattage of 5,000 with the option of bypassing the auto idle control feature.
This is from dirty on your drive rollers being transferred to your coil during start up. Inside your machine are 3 or 4 sets of neoprene drive rollers. These will get dirty over time and need to be cleaned. Some coils contain an oily film. Clean these drive wheels with windex.
It is normal to get a rub mark on the back of the eavestrough where the guide bar pushes on the back, but this is not visible when the eavestrough is installed on the house. If you are getting a scratch elsewhere it is almost always caused by a piece of foreign material in the machine that is rubbing on the material as it passes through the machine.
The easiest way to find this is take the covers of the machine and with material loaded in the machine follow the material and see where the scratching begins. This will allow to specifically pinpont the location to look for the debris. Never stick your hand inside a gutter machine while it is connected to power – severe injury or death may occur.
Some people choose to cut their trough with a Mitre saw. This process quite often will scatter metal debris throughout the machine or onto the coils that are being fed into the machine. This can cause pre mature wear on the machine and failures. While there are is very little maintenance required on a KWM guttermachine for years of use, it is important that these machines be kept clean and free from debris.
